“The Haute Grandeur Global Awards concept is simply unrivalled,” said Haute Grandeur Founder and President, Marinique De Wet. “We recognise excellence through guest feedback so unbiased results are guaranteed through a fair and transparent process. This is the Haute Grandeur way, and sets us apart in the world of Awards initiatives. To win a Haute Grandeur Global Excellence Award an establishment must excel on all levels.”
Launched in 2020, Fable Hotels and Resorts tailor-made selection of properties all deliver 5-star service, imbued with local touches and artful details that set them apart. “Fable is not just a hotel brand, it’s a passion for excellence and a thirst to seek out the interesting. To be acknowledged on a global level with this award is truly humbling” says Lisa Breckon, Director of Sales and Marketing.
Classic meets contemporary at Hotel Fitzroy, curated by Fable, the first property to launch in July 2020 under the Fable brand. This landmark villa has been transformed into a luxurious oasis in Auckland’s trendiest district, Ponsonby. Ten beautifully designed rooms offer exceptional amenities, while indulgent treats like cocktails in the library, breakfast in bed, and complimentary mini bar are all part of the Hotel Fitzroy experience.
Chris Dickinson, Cluster General Manager of Hotel Fitzroy, said it was a real honour for the hotel to receive a swathe of Excellence Awards within a year of opening its doors to the public. “To have achieved these acknowledgements within a short timeframe and in the midst of a global pandemic is a real testament to the hard work, dedication and passion of our hotel staff and wider Fable team. We couldn’t be prouder to receive these awards in our first year of business and represent New Zealand on a global stage.”
Steeped in classic luxury, Fable Dunedin underwent a multi-million dollar refurbishment to transform into Dunedin’s first 5-star hotel, opening late 2020. Precious design elements of the original building dating back to 1862 were carefully preserved and add a sophisticated touch to the contemporary feel throughout the 50 room property. The dynamic restaurant and bar, The Press Club, pays homage to the gold-rush era of the city, while elegant conference rooms span corporate, wedding and special occasion events, boasting the most desirable venue in the Dunedin area catering for up to 250 delegates.
“The refurbishment of Fable Dunedin was a labour of love to bring the Victorian-era hotel into the modern age without losing all the glory of its past” says General Manager, Lisa Breckon. “To be recognised with four highly esteemed awards acknowledges the truly luxurious 5-star experience we provide guests from the moment they arrive at Fable Dunedin.”
