Fable Hotels and Resorts have been selected as finalists for six different categories in this year's NZ Hospitality Awards for Excellence. Hosted by Hospitality New Zealand, in partnership with principal sponsor Lion New Zealand and industry partners, the awards recognize New Zealand's best hospitality and accommodation establishments.

The Hospitality Awards for Excellence is the country’s longest-running and most prestigious national hospitality event. The awards give everyone a chance to recognise and reward members who strove throughout the past year to create the highest possible standards and experiences for both their guests and their teams. A record number of entries have been received for the 2022 Hospitality Awards for Excellence. A record of 309 entries were submitted from over 150 venues. That compares to a total of 192 applications last year from 127 venues. Winners will be revealed at the award ceremony on 27 July in Grand Millennium Hotel Auckland. The ceremony will wrap up the two-day New Zealand Hospitality Conference. With its theme ‘The Future of Hospitality’, the conference will feature presentations and workshops that look at multiple categories across the industry, from technology, sustainability, and how robotics will work in the kitchen to ventilation systems, beer production, and events. It will be the first time in three years the Awards for Excellence have been held in person. Due to Covid restrictions, they were held online last year after being cancelled in 2020. The People’s Choice Award, sponsored by Noel Leeming Commercial, is open for the public to vote for their favourite hospitality or accommodation venue. This award is open to each finalist across every category. Uniquely, this category is voted on by the public once all the category finalists are announced.
